Micra roof trim

   I have a four-door 2002 registered Micra which is in good repair but I need to deal with some rust that has developed along the welded roof seal which is covered by a plastic strip.   Can any member please advise how I should remove the plastic in order that I can subsequently replace it securely after I have tackled the rust problem.
