Fitting Subaru Impreza WRX Seats into a Nissan Primera P11
Fitting a set of Impreza WRX seats is very easy to do.However it will involve the help of a welder.
Firstly I have no pics to show what needs to be done only the finished article (PC went down and lost the images)
The first thing you will need to do is to remove the existing front seats by unbolting the two bolts at the front of the seat and the two bolts at the rear.
Offer the WRX seat up to the mounting holes for the seats on the P11.You will see that the seats are nearly a straight swop. The two front brackets just need bending down a little.Something like moles grips will do this.
Once you have bent the two brackets by the required amount you can put the bolts in and just do them up a little to help hold the seat in.Then slide the seat forward on the runners so you expose the rear brackets.
You will then see that the bracket for the transmission tunnell side i.e the inner rear bracket lines up perfectly with the hole.Put the bolt in there and just do it up a little.
The outer rear bracket is the one that will require the work. You will see that you need to bolt on some sort of steel bracket.I used stainless steel which was at least 1-2mm thick and about 3"long and 1"-1 1/2" wide.
Once you have you bracket cut and ready, offer it up to the bracket on the seat (whilst the seat is still in the car) and mark up where on the bracket it needs to be welded and to mark where you need to drill the hole for the bolt to go through.
Once this is done you can remove the seat and have the bracket welded on and the hole drilled.( you can then paint your bracket if required)Once you are happy with the work you can fit the seats into the car and they should look like this.
